The Drum Ring is a low occasional table, not a dining table: a thick round travertine top sitting on a black metal frame made of two rings, one under the top and one at the floor, joined by slim vertical posts. It reads as a drum outline in thin lines.
Top. Travertine with its natural open pores, shown in a warm beige. For commercial use we recommend filled and sealed travertine, or a travertine-look sintered stone where drinks and spills are constant. The top edge is left thick to emphasize the stone.
Base. Steel rings and posts in black powder coat. The floor ring spreads the weight over a full circle, so the table is stable on carpet as well as hard floors, and felt or nylon pads under the ring protect the floor.
Where it works. Hotel lobbies and lounges, bar lounges, waiting areas in restaurants and private dining anterooms, beside lounge chairs and sofas.
Options. Diameter 18 to 24 in (46-61 cm); height 16 to 22 in (41-56 cm); top in natural travertine, sintered stone or wood; frame in black, bronze or brass-tone. A matching coffee-table size is possible on request.
