The Banded Carrara Twin-Column Table sets a white, softly veined stone-look surface inside a warm solid-wood band, the most forgiving way to put a white stone top into a busy dining room. The band takes the chair-back knocks and tray bumps that chip bare stone edges, and it softens the look so the table sits as comfortably in a café as in a brasserie.
Two slim black steel columns rise from one long rectangular foot plate. That arrangement carries a rectangular top much better than a single column: the load is shared at two points under the top, so the ends don't dip when a guest leans on them, while the low plate stays out of the way of feet.
The standard surface is sintered stone in a Carrara-type veining, chosen for low porosity and heat tolerance. Natural marble can be specified where the owner accepts etching and periodic sealing. The banding timber and the column finish are matched to your sample.
Typical sizes run from 24 × 42 in (61 × 107 cm) for compact four-tops to 30 × 48 in (76 × 122 cm); longer tops are drawn on twin separate bases.
