The Calder Square Two-Top is the workhorse of the Calder Column System: a 30 × 30 in (76 × 76 cm) top that seats two comfortably and pushes against a neighbour to make a 30 × 60 in four-top when a party walks in.
The top is travertine-look sintered stone with a 2 in (5 cm) mitred edge. Mitring two pieces of slab at 45° makes the top read as a solid block of stone while keeping it a fraction of the weight of real 2 in travertine, and sintered stone does not need the filling and sealing that natural travertine does.
The base is a matte black flat steel column, 4¾ × 2⅜ in (12 × 6 cm) in section, on a four-arm cross foot fitted with adjustable glides. The flat column is deliberately oriented so its narrow face points at the seats, keeping knee room clear. A ⅛ in (3 mm) brass reveal line between the column cap and the underside of the top is the family signature, repeated on every Calder size.
The same table is available at counter (36 in) and bar (42 in) height; taller versions receive a heavier foot.
