The Onyx Inlay Column Table is the minimal member of the dark-top family. A charcoal inlay sits inside a walnut-tone timber band; beneath it, slim dark steel columns land on round disc feet with a softly bevelled edge. The two-top uses one column, the rectangle uses two independent columns, each on its own disc.
Independent twin columns keep the floor open between them, which matters in banquette runs where guests slide in and out sideways. Each disc is levelled on its own glide, and the columns are fixed to the top through steel mounting plates and threaded inserts.
The columns are finished in a dark bronze-black that sits between matte black and metal, so the base reads as quiet rather than industrial. The charcoal surface is supplied as sintered stone or high-pressure laminate depending on the project, with the timber band protecting the edge either way.
This is our recommended base type when a designer wants the top to dominate and the base to disappear.
